PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT
For enrollment in co-financed private specialization or subspecialization for medical doctors who are enrolled in private specialization, employed in private health institutions, other legal entities, and unemployed for the year 2016

Based on Article 150-g of the Health Care Law (Official Gazette of the Republic of Macedonia No. 17/16), and the Program for education of doctors and medical personnel and for co-financing specialization or subspecialization of health workers employed in private health institutions, other legal entities and unemployed for 2016 (Official Gazette of RM, No. 24 of February 10, 2016), the Ministry of Health announces a public call. Interested candidates must meet the following general and special conditions:

General conditions:

  • Must be citizens of the Republic of Macedonia

  • Must be of legal age

  • Must not have a legally binding ban on performing the profession, activity or duty

Special conditions:

  • Completed Medical Faculty

  • Passed professional exam

  • Possession of a work license

  • Proof/certificate from the Medical Faculty for enrolled specialization

Along with the application, as proof of meeting the conditions, candidates must submit the following documents in original or notarized copies:

  • Citizenship certificate

  • Diploma/certificate for completed faculty

  • Certificate of passed professional exam

  • Work license

  • Declaration of knowledge of a foreign language (English)

  • Copy of ID card

  • Proof from competent authority (Central Registry of RM) that no legally binding ban on profession or activity is imposed

Candidates who completed higher education abroad must also submit:

  • Nostrifie diploma with appropriate education

  • Document for equivalency of grades issued by the Ministry of Education and Science

Upon acquiring the status of private specialist or subspecialist through the co-financing program, the health worker enters into a fixed-term employment contract with the public health institution where they applied for specialization/subspecialization for the period of specialist training until passing the specialist/subspecialist exam. They are entitled to salary equal to the average monthly salary in the Republic of Macedonia for the previous year and other salary compensations according to law.

After completing specialization or subspecialization, health workers are employed without a public announcement at the public health institution where they applied.

Medical doctors who timely complete specialization or subspecialization in pediatrics or gynecology will sign a contract with the Health Insurance Fund of Macedonia as chosen pediatrician or gynecologist. Their capitation will be calculated with a stimulative value of 1000 points monthly for 36 months, after which the stimulation principle no longer applies and capitation is calculated according to the regulations on payment of primary health care services.

Co-financed private specialization or subspecialization for medical doctors enrolled in private specialization, employed in private health institutions, other legal entities, and unemployed for 2016 totals 168 positions.

Co-financing is valid from the moment of signing the contract for co-financed specialization or subspecialization.

The deadline to apply for the announcement is 5 (five) days from the day of publication.

Applications with the necessary documents should be submitted to the archive of the Ministry of Health or sent by registered mail to the address of the Ministry of Health – 50 Divizija St. No. 14, 1000 Skopje, with the note "Public announcement for enrollment in co-financed private specialization or subspecialization for medical doctors who have enrolled in private specialization employed in private health institutions, other legal entities, and unemployed for 2016." The application must specify the type of specialization or subspecialization and for which public health institution the candidate is applying (the candidate can apply for more than one public health institution). Candidates applying for co-financing of specialization in pediatrics or gynecology for the primary level of health care must specify the specialization and the city for which they are applying.

Selection and choice of candidates will be conducted in accordance with Article 150-g of the Health Care Law (Official Gazette of the Republic of Macedonia No. 17/16), and candidate selection will be based on the achieved average success, length of specialist experience, and an exam consisting of two parts (professional test and knowledge of English language).
