PUBLIC CALL
for Expression of Interest for Engagement of Foreign Medical Experts
With the aim of enhancing the level of professional expertise and continuously improving the quality of healthcare services through the transfer of contemporary medical knowledge and the application of state-of-the-art diagnostic and therapeutic techniques, the Ministry of Health hereby publishes a Public Call for Expression of Interest for the engagement of foreign medical experts employed in renowned healthcare institutions, for the needs of public healthcare institutions in the Republic of North Macedonia.
Objective of the Public Call
The objective of this Public Call is to:
- identify and map professional profiles, medical specialties, and areas of expertise that may contribute to the advancement of the national healthcare system;
- enable short-term forms of engagement, including education, hands-on clinical practice, trainings, and capacity-building activities for medical staff in public healthcare institutions in the Republic of North Macedonia, in accordance with the identified institutional needs and programme activities for 2026 and beyond.
Note: This Public Call does not constitute a vacancy announcement or an offer of permanent employment. Submission of an application represents solely an expression of interest for potential forms of cooperation, which may be realized only in the event of a specifically identified and approved need.
Eligibility
Eligible to apply are foreign medical professionals with a minimum of ten (10) years of relevant professional experience in one of the following fields:
- Neurosurgery
- Ophthalmology
- Traumatology, Orthopaedics and Neuromonitoring
- Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery
- Neonatology
- Otorhinolaryngology
- Digestive Surgery
- Thoracic and Vascular Surgery
- Paediatric Surgery
- Cardiology
- Cardioanaesthesiology
Application Procedure
Applications shall be submitted exclusively via the electronic application module available on the official website of the Ministry of Health.
The Ministry of Health shall contact applicants only in cases where a specific programme or identified need corresponds to the submitted professional, medical and/or educational profile.
